Andres Romero keeps paying off mortgages with aces, this time at the Travelers
Andres Romero shot a 1-under 69 in the opening round of the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands on Thursday, including a hole-in-one on the 16th hole.
As is the case with every ace on Tour, one lucky fan will receive a year's worth of mortgage payments from Quicken Loans.
This is becoming a trend for Romero, who last year helped another fan with their mortgage, firing a hole-in-one on the 17th hole at TPC Summerlin.
Here's what he had to say after that ace.
"I wasn't sure it was going to get there, so I knew I wanted to hit it pretty well, hit it pretty hard with a draw over towards the right bunker, and when it came off the club face, I knew I had hit it perfectly," Romero said through a translator, according to Sean Martin of PGATOUR.com. "As soon as it hit the green, I heard the crowd starting to applaud, and I knew it was on the right line, and it just followed that line and trickled in."
