Fiorentina director Vincenzo Guerini: 'I tell the fans that the club has made an insane offer to Salah'
Insanity is reigning at ACF Fiorentina.
On Saturday, Fiorentina director Vincenzo Guerini confessed his club has made an "insane" offer to Mohamed Salah in an attempt to keep the Egyptian forward at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Salah joined Fiorentina from Chelsea in February on a loan until the end of the season. While not officially intertwined, the deal was essentially part of the move that saw Juan Cuadrado relocate to Stamford Bridge.
"I tell the fans that the club has made an insane offer to Salah," Guerini said, according to the Guardian.
"If any player, not just Salah, turned down a proposal like that, then it's best he doesn't stay at Fiorentina. However, I think Salah will accept. He made a huge impact with us, so it's normal that he should receive calls from elsewhere. He wants to earn more, but Fiorentina made a truly important proposal."
Reports in Italy indicate Salah has been offered €3 million (£2.1 million) per year in addition to bonuses, which would meet his apparent demands of £2 million per year.

Fiorentina is reportedly looking to make Salah's loan deal permanent after he notched six goals and three assists through 16 Serie A appearances. Although the club apparently hold the option of extending the loan for one more season, there is an alleged clause in Salah's contract that would allow Fiorentina to make the deal permanent for a suggested fee of €16 million.
