Crazy AAF no-look pass inspires Mahomes to step up his game
The AAF found its answer to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes on Sunday, but the NFL's trick-pass king doesn't intend to let his crown go easily.
San Diego Fleet quarterback Philip Nelson somehow completed a no-look pass against the Atlanta Legends, blindly tossing the ball over his shoulder while he was being taken down.
Nelson's miracle inspired Mahomes, likely to the dismay of NFL defenses.
Nelson's throw was reminiscent of Mahomes' most famous play during his 2018 MVP campaign.
Mahomes' two favorite targets, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, are excited about the prospect of more insanity from their quarterback.
Chiefs receiver Sammy Watkins said in January that the young passer tries even wilder throws during practice.
With Nelson raising the bar for absurd passes, Mahomes might be tempted to put his practice tricks to the test.
