Federer debuts new tennis shoe

Roger Federer made his long-awaited return to the tennis court Wednesday wearing a new signature sneaker.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion debuted The Roger Pro at the 2021 Qatar Open, which marked his first match in 13 months. The Roger Pro marks the first-ever tennis performance shoe from Swiss footwear company On, which Federer signed with in 2019 after ending his decades-long partnership with Nike.

On designed the shoe exclusively for Federer, which means tennis fans won't be able to get their hands on it. The company did indicate the shoe could be available for purchase in the future.
