VIDEO: Monfils falls just short after Superman-like dive

Gael Monfils would have had the play of the tournament if he pulled this off.

Tied 2-2 in the second set and with his Australian Open fourth-round opponent Andrey Kuznetsov serving at deuce, Monfils was forced to make an outstanding dive after Kuznetsov used the Frenchman's own momentum against him.

Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out for Monfils, who had to call a medical time out after injuring himself on the attempt.

But that didn't change how great it nearly was.

Fortunately for Monfils, he'd go on to defeat Kuznetsov in four sets, winning 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(4). He'll now face Canadian Milos Raonic in the quaterfinals.
