Ice Cube would love to have Kobe Bryant join the BIG3, but he isn't getting his hopes up.

"I've asked him, and he said he was done. I believe him," the BIG3 co-founder told Jabari Young of CNBC. "I'm not going to harass the man; if he's done, I don't want him in the BIG3. I only want you in the BIG3 if you still got that chip on your shoulder; if you still want to play and show people that you're the best."

Ice Cube was inspired to launch the BIG3 after watching Bryant score 60 points in his final NBA game and named the Los Angeles Lakers great as one of his "dream" BIG3 recruits alongside Kevin Garnett and Vince Carter.

The BIG3 will kick off its fourth season this summer with several changes in place, including a reduced minimum age (22 years from 27) and a red ball known as a "FIREBALL."
