Mayweather says he's involved with building NYC's 'tallest' skyscraper
Floyd Mayweather Jr. appears to have given up on a potential move to mixed martial arts - at least for now.
In an interview with FightHype.com, the retired boxer said he's busy focusing on his multiple business ventures, which includes One Vanderbilt, a skyscraper under construction in New York City.
"I've been working with my real estate buddies, you know, my real estate guys," Mayweather said.
"The project that I'm working on now is called One Vanderbilt ... It's going to be the tallest building in New York City. It's going to be taller than the Empire State Building. We also putting an observation deck on the building."
Contrary to Mayweather's claim, One Vanderbilt will not be the tallest building in NYC. As Alan Dawson of Business Insider notes, the skyscraper - set to be completed in 2020 - will top 1,301 feet, just shy of 432 Park Avenue and One World Trade Center.
