Fury: 'I've got 2 more fights left'
"The Gypsy King" is almost ready to put the gloves down for good.
Newly crowned WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury revealed he'll consider retiring from boxing after his current promotional contract is completed.
"I've got two more fights left and then we'll really think about what we're going to do from there," Fury told ITV's "This Morning" on Wednesday, according to Metro's Phil Haigh. "How long's a piece of string? I'm undefeated from 31 fights and I've been a professional for 12 years.
"Hopefully I'll have two more fights and then sail into the sunset."
As Fury's contract with ESPN and Top Rank Boxing winds down, he's set to square off against Deontay Wilder on July 18 in Las Vegas. It will be his third meeting with "The Bronze Bomber."
The 31-year-old Brit grabbed both the WBC and Ring Magazine heavyweight belts from Wilder via a seventh-round stoppage in February. That result followed their memorable and controversial split-decision draw in December 2018.
Wilder immediately exercised his rematch clause after the loss, setting up the trilogy fight.
Fury, who previously took a break from boxing between 2016 and 2018 while struggling with his mental health, is a career 30-0-1 in the ring with 21 of those wins coming via knockout.
