Bob Arum: Wilder-Fury 3 delayed until at least November or December
The Wilder-Fury trilogy appears to be delayed again.
Top Rank Boxing chairman Bob Arum told Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated the third title fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder won't take place until November or December at the earliest.
The heavyweight rivals were initially scheduled to meet for their trilogy fight on July 18 in Las Vegas. However, the coronavirus pandemic quickly led to the fight being postponed, and it was later moved to Oct. 3.
Fury won the much-anticipated rematch against Wilder in February with a seventh-round knockout to claim the WBC heavyweight belt. Wilder was injured during the fight and revealed earlier this month that he underwent bicep surgery as a result.
Fury and Wilder first met in 2018, when they battled to a controversial split-decision draw.
