George Foreman thinks Tyson could challenge for title
George Foreman believes Mike Tyson could make a run at a heavyweight title once he gets a few more exhibition bouts under his belt.
Foreman was "so impressed" with Tyson's performance against Roy Jones Jr. on Saturday, he told TMZ Sports, and the Hall of Famer could see the 54-year-old stepping into the ring against a fighter in their prime.
"If he gets three more exhibitions like that, at that level, I would even back him in challenging any title contender, even a champion," Foreman said.
"If the right situation arrived, Mike Tyson could be in for a good title shot," he added. "And (with three more) of these exhibitions, he can beat some of these guys who can be champion out there."
Tyson has said he intends to continue fighting, and two former opponents - Evander Holyfield and James "Buster" Douglas - have already called him out. Foreman isn't keen on seeing Tyson and Holyfield fight again, though.
"Mike already experienced Holyfield, let him do other things now," Foreman said. "Move on."
