Jake Paul, Tommy Fury set for Dec. 18 boxing match
Jake Paul's next boxing match is official.
Paul will meet Tommy Fury on Dec. 18 in Tampa, Florida, Showtime announced Friday, according to MMA reporter Ariel Helwani.
The bout will take place at 192 pounds and consist of eight, three-minute rounds.
Paul, who gained a huge following from his previous career as a YouTuber, has taken the combat sports world by storm since making his professional boxing debut in 2020. He's 4-0 as a pro, most recently earning a split-decision win over former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in August.
Paul, 24, also holds knockout victories over former UFC fighter Ben Askren and ex-NBA guard Nate Robinson.
This will be the first time he faces someone with prior boxing experience. Fury, the half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, is 7-0 as a professional with four knockouts. The 22-year-old last competed on the Paul-Woodley undercard, beating MMA fighter Anthony Taylor by unanimous decision.
The fight will be promoted by Paul's Most Valuable Promotions and Showtime Sports in association with Tony Holden Productions, according to ESPN's Marc Raimondi.
Amanda Serrano, one of the top female boxers in the world, will serve as the co-main event on the Paul-Fury card, sources told Raimondi. She does not yet have an opponent.
