Former NBA All-Star Deron Williams' first professional boxing match could also be his last.

Ahead of Saturday's bout with former NFL running back Frank Gore, Williams told reporters that boxing isn't in his long-term plans.

"It's just a box I wanted to check, you know, so December 18th, I'm probably gonna consider myself a retired boxer," he said, according to BroBible.

Williams, 37, didn't entirely rule out the possibility of a second fight but noted he's focused on spending time with his family.

"I retired so I could spend more time with my kids, not take up a second career that's going to take away from my kids," he said.

The fight is on the undercard of the Jake Paul-Tyron Woodley rematch at the Amalie Arena in Tampa. It'll consist of four rounds with a 215-pound weight limit.
