Mayweather to compete in exhibition bout on top of Dubai hotel
Floyd Mayweather is set to return to the ring.
The legendary boxer announced he will compete in an exhibition match Feb. 20 on a helipad on top of the famous Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, according to USA Today's Michael Rosenthal.
An opponent hasn't been confirmed.
"I look forward to it and hopefully we give you guys something to see," Mayweather said, per Rosenthal.
The 44-year-old was last in action in June 2021 when he went the distance with YouTuber Logan Paul in an exhibition bout.
Mayweather, a former world champion and one of the greatest boxers of his generation, said after the Paul fight that it was unlikely he would participate in another exhibition.
"Money" last competed as a professional in 2017, defeating UFC star Conor McGregor to lift his record to 50-0. He retired from pro competition after that victory.
