Unified super featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson is set to defend his titles against Robson Conceicao on Sept. 23 at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, boxing insider Kevin Iole reports.

Stevenson, who was already WBO champion, claimed the WBC super featherweight belt during his most recent bout against Oscar Valdez in April, winning via unanimous decision. The 24-year-old Newark native improved to 18-0 with nine knockouts.

Conceicao, 33, is 17-1 with eight career KOs and most recently defeated Xavier Martinez in January by unanimous decision. His only career loss came against Valdez last September, also via unanimous decision.

The Brazilian filed a complaint with the WBC regarding the Valdez decision. Judge Stephen Blea later apologized for scoring the bout 117-110. The other two judges both scored 115-112 in favor of Valdez.
