This blockbuster is years in the making. It appeared the two sides were targeting a November 2022 fight date, but negotiations fell apart due to contract disagreements.
Crawford ended up taking a December bout with David Avanesyan, defeating him by sixth-round knockout.
Spence hasn't fought since April 2022, when he defeated Yordenis Ugas by 10th-round TKO to capture the WBA's 147-pound strap.
The two undefeated stars are among the most popular boxers, with each gracing top spots on many pound-for-pound lists around the world.
