Former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua isn't ready to give up after his setback against Daniel Dubois.

Joshua challenged Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title this past weekend at Wembley Stadium in London, suffering a stunning fifth-round knockout loss. Some called for him to retire afterward, but Joshua, who was a 4-to-1 favorite and had won four straight going in, said Monday he's confident he still has a lot of fight left in him.

"What a roller-coaster journey," Joshua said in a video on X as he reflected on his 11-year pro career. "But you know what the problem is? It's that it's far from over yet."

Joshua would have become just the sixth three-time heavyweight champion in boxing history had he defeated Dubois. Instead, Dubois put on the performance of a lifetime in his first title defense and picked up the biggest win of his career. Dubois floored Joshua three times before the knockout.

It remains unclear what Joshua's next move will be, though his promoter, Eddie Hearn, said Saturday a long-awaited fight against former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury - if Fury loses to Oleksandr Usyk again in December - could be on the table.

That wouldn't immediately get Joshua back to another title, but the 33-year-old Englishman said he thinks a third championship reign is in his future.

"We've done it once, we've done it twice. Doing it a third time hasn't been easy, but I believe it's something I can achieve," Joshua said. "It's about making the right steps forward, working hard, improving, and it's got to come from (the heart) more than anything. ... It's only been a day, but when I sit back and I'm thinking, I know I got a lot of (heart)."

Joshua's pro record sits at 28-4 after he suffered just the second knockout of his career.

"Keep your seatbelts tight because deep, deep, deep down in (my heart), I know we got a lot more to bring," Joshua said. "A lot more to bring to the game."
