Usyk, Fury make weight ahead of rematch
One of the biggest rematches in boxing is good to go for Saturday.
Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury made weight Friday before they square off for Usyk's WBC, WBA, and WBO heavyweight titles in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Usyk and Fury weighed in at 226 and 281 pounds, respectively. Both fighters wore full clothing on the scales, with Fury donning a thick leather jacket.
Usyk defeated Fury by split decision in May to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 2000. The rematch was made official less than a month later. Usyk was later stripped of the IBF title, but the Ukrainian still holds three of the four major belts and is one of the top pound-for-pound boxers in the world.
Fury returns to the ring following the first loss of his decorated career. "The Gypsy King" will enter with a 34-1-1 record, while Usyk is a perfect 22-0 as a professional.
