Parker to face Bakole after Dubois withdrawal
Saturday's heavyweight fight between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker has been called off because Dubois has a health issue.
Dubois was set to defend his IBF heavyweight championship against Parker in Saudi Arabia.
The 27-year-old has fallen sick and is being evaluated by a doctor, according to Boxing Scene.
Martin Bakole will step in to face Parker in a heavyweight matchup, according to The Ring Magazine.
Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) was heading into the fight with a lot of momentum after an impressive fifth-round knockout victory over Anthony Joshua in September.
Parker (35-3, 23 KOs) is on a five-fight winning streak and is coming off a decision victory over Zhilei Zhang to win the WBO interim heavyweight title last March.
Bakole (21-1, 16 KOs) has been idle since defeating Jared Anderson via TKO in the fifth round last August.
