Eubank-Benn rematch set for Sept. 20 in London
A rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn will take place Sept. 20 in London, Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, confirmed to his media outlet, Ring Magazine, on Sunday.
A venue hasn't been finalized.
Eubank and Benn delivered a Fight of the Year candidate in April, with Eubank earning a unanimous decision victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Negotiations for a rematch began shortly after the fight, though a date wasn't set until now.
The matchup will again be contested at middleweight with a 10-pound rehydration clause. Eubank missed weight for the first fight, coming in 0.05 pounds over the 160-pound limit.
Eubank is riding a three-fight winning streak. The 35-year-old Englishman holds a 35-3 career record.
Benn suffered his first pro loss against Eubank, falling to 23-1. The 28-year-old London native has fought just once in the last 16 months.
