8:00 p.m. - The broadcast has begun. We're just hours away from the biggest test of Paul's boxing career, an eight-round bout against former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua.
This fight came together just over a month ago. Paul was scheduled to face WBA lightweight champion Gervonta "Tank" Davis on Nov. 14, but he moved on from that matchup due to Davis' ongoing legal issues and agreed to face Joshua instead.
Joshua is returning to the ring for the first time since September 2024, when he suffered a surprise knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in an IBF heavyweight title bout. The 36-year-old Englishman was on a hot streak going into that fight, having won four in a row, and he's hoping to get back into the heavyweight title mix.
This is Paul's second fight of the year. The 28-year-old American earned a unanimous decision over former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June. Of course, his most notable victory to date came against Mike Tyson in November 2024, which marked Netflix's first foray into boxing. Netflix has held several other boxing events since then, and the streaming giant is closing out the year with a bang with Paul-Joshua.
