Mayweather announced last week that he plans to come out of retirement and resume his professional boxing career following his exhibition bout against Mike Tyson, which is scheduled to take place April 25 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mayweather retired in 2017 with a 50-0 record but has competed in several exhibitions since then, including against Logan Paul in 2021. He turns 49 on Tuesday.
Pacquiao, 47, returned from a four-year retirement last July, fighting Mario Barrios to a majority draw in a WBC welterweight title fight. He's scheduled to face Ruslan Provodnikov in an exhibition match April 18 in Las Vegas.
Mayweather defeated Pacquiao in a long-awaited championship bout in 2015. The fight generated a record 4.6 million pay-per-view buys.
