Due to a broken rib, Mario Gotze will not be available as Bayern Munich attempts to clinch a second consecutive domestic double in Saturday's DFB-Pokal final against Borussia Dortmund.
The club announced the 23-year-old's absence Friday, but was quick to provide a reassurance about the pudgy playmaker's status for Euro 2016.
.@MarioGoetze is out of the #DFBCup final. The world champion suffered a broken rib last week and is sidelined, but is fine for #EURO2016.

Gotze has endured a frustrating campaign, making only 21 appearances and finding the net just six times in all competitions.
Whether he would have actually played any part in Saturday's contest is up for debate, but the affirmation that the 2014 World Cup hero will be available for this summer's tournament in France will come as a relief to national team boss Joachim Low.
