Zambrano, 26, joined Eintracht from FC St. Pauli in 2012 and boasts 117 appearances for the Eagles. He was omitted from Peru's squad for the Copa America Centenario as Ricardo Gareca, Los Incas' manager, selected a new generation of players after the team's poor start to 2018 World Cup qualifying.
