Watch: Muller doubles Bayern's lead in DFL-Supercup
Bayern Munich attacker Thomas Muller has all but secured the DFL-Supercup in Sunday's match with Borussia Dortmund.
The Germany striker, so oft the centre of his club's goal-scoring heroics, once again found the back of the net with a sniff in the six-yard box. Off a corner kick, Muller tapped home a headed effort that rebounded kindly to his feet.
His goal follows an earlier effort scored by Arturo Vidal, and gives the Bavarians a 2-0 lead to defend in the last 10 minutes of the match. It's also Muller's third Supercup goal, though Bayern has not won since 2012, having lost the match in in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
"We never go into any game saying 'we don't care' - this is about a title and prestige, even if the Supercup, directly at the start of a season, doesn't have the same worth as a league or cup title," Muller said earlier in the week. "This is a title we haven't won for three years and it's always special against Borussia Dortmund, for us and the fans."
