Lewandowski sets unlucky milestone by hitting woodwork 3 times
Robert Lewandowski almost did it again.
The Bayern Munich striker nearly scored five goals in a single match for the second time in just over a year, netting a brace, and smacking the woodwork three times in a 2-1 win over PSV on Tuesday; Lewandowski famously scored five times in an absurd nine-minute spell against Wolfsburg in September of 2015.
Instead of celebrating a quintet of tallies once again, however, the 28-year-old was this time forced to settle for a far more dubious milestone:
3 - @lewy_official is the first player to hit woodwork 3 times in a CL-game since the beginning of data collection. Bad luck. #PSVFCB

You know you're good when you have the unluckiest Champions League performance in over a decade, and still find the net twice.
