Aubameyang dropped by Borussia Dortmund for disciplinary reasons
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won't feature for Borussia Dortmund on Sunday after being dropped from the squad for disciplinary reasons, the Bundesliga club announced ahead of its match against Wolfsburg.
Dortmund manager Peter Stoger revealed Aubameyang's suspension is due to his absence from an "important" team meeting Saturday.
"Team spirit is very important to us," Stoger said, according to DW Sports. "We had an important meeting and (Aubameyang) missed it. If he's not focused, there have to be consequences."
Stoger added: "You won't believe it but we're all very relaxed. Auba is an important player but the lads still believe they can win. Anyone who plays for BVB is quality."
Dortmund, sitting in fourth place with 28 points coming out of the winter break, will also be without Christian Pulisic for Sunday's fixture after the American suffered a muscle strain. Stoger expects him to return to action next week against Hertha Berlin.
