Bayern sporting director: Ribery, Robben offered new contracts
It's just a matter of time before uncertainty over Arjen Robben's and Franck Ribery's futures at Bayern Munich are resolved with news that the Bundesliga champion has held talks with the pair about new contracts.
Ahead of the club's announcement Friday that Niko Kovac will replace Jupp Heynckes as the club's new manager this summer, Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic revealed that talks have taken place with the duo about the possibility of extending their stay with the Bavarians until 2019.
Salihamidzic added that their futures at the club will be resolved in the coming days.
"We have held several talks with Arjen and Franck and spoke about a deal until June 30, 2019 yesterday," Salihamidzic said. "We will have news in the next days."
Both players are in the final months of their deals.
The pair played alongside each other for almost a decade, with Ribery joining Bayern two years before Robben's arrival in 2009.

Bayern has enjoyed tremendous success with the duo, winning several Bundesliga titles - including this season's top flight crown after clinching the league with a 3-1 win over Augsburg last weekend - and the Champions League in 2013.
