1. FC Koln fined €200,000 for crowd trouble

Berlin, March 12, 2015 (AFP) - Bundesliga club 1. FC Koln have been ordered to play three matches partially behind closed doors and fined €200,000 ($212,000) for crowd trouble, the German Football Federation (DFB) announced on Thursday.

Police made two arrests after a 30-strong group of well-organised Koln fans dressed all in white stormed on to the pitch after their team's last-minute Bundesliga defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach last month.

Koln fans also caused trouble at a German Cup tie against Duisburg last October.

The match restrictions concern games against Hoffenheim on April 12, Bayer Leverkusen on April 26, and Schalke in May.

The DFB have also ordered the club to issue personalised tickets, and to forbid any ticket swapping, for all away games.

Promoted Koln, who are 11th in the German league, travel to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
