Fenerbahce denies reports linking club with move for Jurgen Klopp
Fenerbahce already has a manager, and thus will not be signing free-agent-to-be Jurgen Klopp this summer. End of discussion.
That's the message from the Turkish club, which has moved swiftly to deny multiple reports that a move for Klopp - who is set to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season - is in the cards.
Turkish newspaper Sabah, along with Dogan News Agency, reported that the German bench boss, 47, had flown to Turkey to engage in talks with the club.
But those reports were quickly dismissed in a statement posted to Fenerbahce's website.
"The Sabah report claiming Fenerbahce are in advanced talks with Klopp are false.
"Ismail Kartal is the club's manager - we urge the media in question to stop trying to play mind games and disrupt the team."
