Bastian Schweinsteiger gives evasive answer when asked about Manchester United link
Bastian Schweinsteiger wasn't willing to reveal his hand regarding his future following Bayern Munich's 25th league title.
"I am under contract until 2016," Schweinsteiger, the latest player linked with a move to Manchester United, told reporters.
Speculation regarding the German international's future revved up in the last week following a report suggesting United have shifted their focus to the World Cup-winning midfielder.
But Schweinsteiger continued to be evasive when pressed further about the rumours.
"I'm glad that you asked. I won't comment on it," he said with a smile.
Although Schweinsteiger has been limited to just 19 Bundesliga appearances because of injuries, the 30-year-old was able to score in Bayern's final two matches and could still play an important role on whichever club he chooses to play with after the summer break.
