FIFA prankster Simon Brodkin faces trespassing charges in Switzerland

British comedian Simon Brodkin, the now-infamous prankster who showered FIFA president Sepp Blatter with fake bills, will be charged with trespassing by Swiss authorities.

Brodkin, in character as Lee Nelson, broke into a media conference room in Zurich on Monday and addressed the gathered media, holding a stack of fake cash in each hand. He announced he was there to pay Blatter a bribe for the "2026 World Cup in North Korea," then threw a stack of bills into the air as security escorted him out of the building.

"He will be charged for trespassing because he wasn't allowed to enter the building," a spokesman for the Swiss police told the BBC. "If there will be a trial it is still to be decided by the prosecutor. Trespassing in Switzerland is just prosecuted by request like other minor crimes."

This isn't the first time Brodkin, 38, has found himself in a spot of trouble. In character as footballer Jason Bent, Brodkin attempted to board the English team's plane on their way to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and he once broke in and trained with Manchester City before a match.

Brodkin also sang on stage at Glastonbury during the middle of a Kanye West performance in June.

His latest prank might be a touch more bothersome for Brodkin, though, as he now faces actual charges.

Here's the video one last time.
