Bayern Munich fans at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens were seen being quartered off and beaten by Greek police in riot gear as their team prepared to take on Olympiacos in the Champions League group stage.
Bayern fans are not known for being belligerent or problematic, making this incident even more curious. The following video shows Greek police, decked out in riot gear, smacking fans with batons, though the reasons remain unclear.
Reports out of the stadium say that Bayern supporters have left the stadium in protest of their treatment in the stands, too.
