The Toronto Argonauts appear to have had second thoughts on releasing the 2012 Grey Cup MVP.
Running back Chad Kackert, who was released just four days ago, has been re-added to the Argos practice roster, the team reported while also naming their final roster cuts before the beginning of the regular season.
The 29-year-old retired prior to the 2014 season because of an ankle injury, but came out of retirement and was added to the practice roster in September 2014. A hamstring injury a month later had his career once again in jeopardy, but Kackert managed to return and produce for the Argonauts last season, running for 235 yards on 39 carries.
