CFL releases 2017 schedule

The CFL announced its 2017 schedule Tuesday and fans won't have to wait long to see a highly anticipated matchup.
Week 1 will feature a Grey Cup rematch, as the Calgary Stampeders visit the Ottawa RedBlacks in an attempt to avenge their loss from November's championship game.
That isn't the only intriguing contest from the opening week, as longtime rivals will square off when the Toronto Argonauts host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at BMO Field.
Meanwhile, the opening game of the year will see Darian Durant face his old team when the Montreal Alouettes host the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Other notable contests and dates include:
- Canada Day - Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders
- Labour Day - Edmonton Eskimos vs. Calgary Stampeders
- Labour Day - Toronto Argonauts vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
- Thanksgiving - Edmonton Eskimos vs. Montreal Alouettes
