Report: Lions sign WR Chris Williams
The BC Lions added a potential game-changer on offence, in the signing of receiver Chris Williams, according to Farhan Lalji of TSN. The deal is pending a physical.
Williams spent the last two seasons with Ottawa, racking up 165 receptions for 2,460 yards and 15 touchdowns. Those totals could have been more, if not for a torn ACL injury suffered late last season that forced Williams to miss the final four games of the season and all of Ottawa's Grey Cup run.
Prior to Ottawa, Williams played two seasons in Hamilton, going over the 1,000-yard mark in each season.
For his career, Williams has 318 receptions for 4,822 yards and 32 touchdowns in 63 games. He also has five career punt returns.
Williams was a 2012 CFL All-Star, while earning East Division All-Star honours in each season he played.
