Winnipeg Blue Bombers kicker Justin Medlock lined up for a 49-yard field goal late in the second quarter Friday night - or at least that's what the BC Lions thought he was doing.
Medlock didn't actually attempt the field goal, and instead kicked it toward the sideline for teammate Mike Miller, who was waiting all by his lonesome as the pigskin came his way. Adams recovered the ball and the Blue Bombers scored a touchdown before the first half expired.
The play - which essentially operated as an onside kick - was legal since Miller was behind the line from where the ball was kicked at the time of the snap.
