Tiger-Cats blank Alouettes to close out season
Don't tell the Hamilton Tiger-Cats that Friday night's game against the Montreal Alouettes was meaningless.
Neither team is heading to the playoffs, but Hamilton came away with a 33-0 victory in the respective sides' season finales. It's the second time in three weeks that the Tiger-Cats bested the Alouettes, as Hamilton also claimed a 43-16 victory last month.
Jeremiah Masoli led the way with 318 yards through the air and a touchdown, while also rushing for 88 yards and a score. Hamilton receiver Luke Tasker caught seven passes for 102 yards and a touchdown. Jalen Saunders and Brandon Banks also each caught seven passes.
Alouettes quarterback Matt Shiltz failed to impress in his first career start, going only 7-for-16 with three interceptions.
Hamilton finishes the season with a 6-12 record, while Montreal closes things out at 3-15.
