Long-time CFL quarterback Ricky Ray has made a decision regarding the 2018 season: he will return to the Toronto Argos.
Ray has agreed to a one-year contract with the reigning Grey Cup champions, TSN's Farhan Lalji reports, after originally considered retirement after 16 seasons.
The three-time All-Star accumulated 5,546 passing yards and 28 touchdowns in 2017, and owns the fourth most passing yards in league history.
The announcement comes on the heels of Toronto signing former Edmonton Eskimos signal-caller James Franklin in December as Ray's potential successor. It now appears there may be a quarterback competition forthcoming.
