It's never a good idea to run onto the field of any sporting match, as one misguided fan quickly found out Saturday evening.
During a game between the BC Lions and Montreal Alouettes, a streaker ran onto the field and paraded around in a semi-circle, waving his arms in the air in an ostensible attempt to win over the crowd.
Lions defensive back Marcell Young had enough of the sideshow and dropped the fan with a crushing shoulder blow. The fan was subsequently attended to by the referee and event security.
Although the Alouettes appeared to be amused by the fan's antics, Young provided a stern reminder why the playing field is off limits.
