Terrell Owens activated his 10-day clause with the Edmonton Eskimos, forcing the CFL club to either offer him a contract or release him within the window that expires on July 14, sources told Justin Dunk of 3 Down Nation.
Edmonton added Owens to its negotiation list in June.
Owens recently made headlines for his decision to skip the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which takes place on August 4. It's customary for players to attend the event, but Owens opted out and the Hall responded by stating that he won't receive the individual spotlight all inductees usually receive.
The former NFL superstar hasn't played a down since the 2010 season, where he featured for the Cincinnati Bengals.
