The Winnipeg Blue Bombers came to play.
Winnipeg pounced on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to open the 107th Grey Cup, forcing its opponents into a turnover on each of their opening possessions. The second change of possession, a Dane Evans fumble recovered by Adam Bighill, left the Bombers inside Hamilton's 20.
On the first play after the turnover, Andrew Harris - the CFL's leading rusher and a former Grey Cup Most Outstanding Canadian - scampered into the end zone to give the Blue Bombers an early 7-0 lead.

The touchdown was Harris' second career Grey Cup major. He also scored the opening TD in the 99th edition.
