Roughriders bring back Duke Williams on reported 1-year, $260K deal
The Saskatchewan Roughriders are re-signing wide receiver D'haquille "Duke" Williams, the team announced Saturday.
The one-year extension through the 2022 season is worth $260,000, TSN's Dave Naylor reports.
Williams, 28, is coming off a 2021 campaign in which he tallied 17 receptions, 285 receiving yards, and a touchdown in four appearances with the Roughriders.
The Auburn product played for the Buffalo Bills in 2019, making 12 receptions for 166 yards and one touchdown while appearing in four games.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound pass-catcher spent two seasons with Edmonton Elks (2017-18), hauling in 134 receptions, 2,294 yards, and 15 touchdowns.
The reported deal keeps one of Saskatchewan's top receiving options with the team ahead of the opening of CFL free agency Tuesday.
