The Edmonton Elks and Montreal Alouettes will renew their iconic championship rivalry in the 113th Grey Cup next Sunday in Calgary.
Montreal beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 33-23 in the East Division final to reach its third Grey Cup game in the last four seasons.
The Elks continued their worst-to-first turnaround season with a 28-16 win over the BC Lions in the West final.
This will be the CFL-record 12th Grey Cup meeting between the Alouettes and Elks franchises, and first since 2005's overtime thriller. Edmonton is making its first Grey Cup appearance since 2015, when it won its most recent title.
The West final was a defensive struggle that saw both teams trade field goals before Edmonton pulled away late. The Elks - who drew over 40,000 fans to their first home playoff game in 11 years - outscored BC 22-7 in the second half. Joel Dublanko made the game-changing play on defense by forcing a fumble late in the fourth quarter that led to an Elks field goal after a 62-yard return.

Elks quarterback Cody Fajardo, who led Montreal to a Grey Cup win in 2023, threw for 274 yards and rushed for 84 while throwing one touchdown and rushing for another.
Star Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke didn't throw for a touchdown in the loss. The Canadian pivot has lost each of his three division final appearances.
At Molson Stadium, the CFL-best Alouettes had their hands full against a pesky Blue Bombers squad that didn't go down quietly. Montreal led 23-10 at halftime, but had to hold on down the stretch when Winnipeg mounted a furious fourth-quarter comeback.
Blue Bombers quarterback Zach Collaros was leading what appeared to be a game-winning drive until Alouettes linebacker Tyrice Beverette strip-sacked him and recovered the fumble with just under four minutes remaining. Davis Alexander, this year's Most Outstanding Player, then led a 12-play drive that culminated with a spectacular touchdown catch by slotback Tyler Snead to ice the game.
