Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign new import receiver Quentin Sims
WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed import wide receiver Quentin Sims, who spent some pre-season time last year in the NFL.
Sims, 24, six-foot-three and just over 200 pounds, was signed by the New England Patriots last July and played in four pre-season games, with four receptions for 86 yards and two touchdowns.
Both touchdown receptions came from Tim Tebow in a three-catch, 72-yard game against the New York Giants.
Sims played his first two college seasons at Georgia Tech before transferring to University of Tennessee-Martin.
In his senior season he had 86 receptions, 16 touchdowns and finished with 1,092 yards.
