Alouettes sign former NFL quarterback John Skelton to 2-year deal

MONTREAL - The Montreal Alouettes signed former NFL quarterback John Skelton to a two-year contract Friday and released quarterback Alex Brink.
Skelton, a six-foot-five 258-pound native of El Paso, Tex., played 20 games with Arizona over three seasons. He recorded 3,707 passing yards and threw 15 touchdown passes for the Cardinals.
The 26-year-old pivot also spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans.
