Ahead of Tuesday night's CFL draft, here's a look back at the top picks of 2014 and how they performed (or didn't) during their rookie seasons:

No. 1 overall - Calgary Stampeders - Pierre Lavertu (OL)

Lavertu, a 6-foot-3, Quebec City native, played in 15 games and helped open holes for the league's top rushing attack in 2014 while playing a key role on the offensive line that allowed the fewest sacks in the CFL. The 25-year-old was also in the lineup for the Western Final and the 102nd Grey Cup.

No. 2 overall - Winnipeg Blue Bombers - Matthias Goossen (OL)

The 6-foot-4, 22-year-old recorded one tackle in the 2014 season with the Blue Bombers. Goosen is the only former first-round pick still with the club.

No. 3 overall - Toronto Argonauts - Anthony Coombs (RB)

Coombs' rookie season was cut short after he suffered a torn labrum on Aug. 1 against Montreal. Before the injury, the 5-foot-9, Winnipeg native had 75 rushing yards on eight carries and 22 catches for 214 yards.

No. 4 overall - Ottawa Redblacks - Antoine Pruneau (DB)

The 25-year-old Montreal native was near the top of the CFL in tackles, recording 69 in his rookie season. Pruneau also recorded 11 special teams tackles and two sacks. He was named the top Canadian in the CFL for the month of October.

No. 5 overall - Montreal Alouettes - David Foucault (OL)

A few weeks after the Alouettes drafted Foucault, he tried out for the NFL's Carolina Panthers. The Montreal native signed with the Panthers two days later. Foucault was the first player from the Universite of Montreal to make an NFL roster. The 26-year-old played in five games, including one start, with the Panthers.

No. 6 overall - Edmonton Eskimos - Devon Bailey (WR)

In 14 games with the Eskimos, Bailey recorded 17 receptions for 219 yards and one kickoff return for 13 yards. The 23-year-old Mississauga, Ontario native played in the West Semi-Final against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In the West Final against Calgary, he recorded two catches for five yards.

No. 7 overall - Calgary Stampeders - Quinn Smith (DL)

Smith played 11 games with the Stampeders and had 10 tackles, including four sacks. In the final regular-season game, he recorded three sacks and was named CFL Canadian Player of the Week. The 6-foot-2 Scarborough, Ontario native played in the Western final and in the 102nd Grey Cup.

No. 8 overall - Hamilton Tiger-Cats - Beau Landry (LB)

In 12 games with the Tiger-Cats, the 5-foot-11, Kitchener, Ontario native recorded 11 special teams tackles and two forced fumbles. The 23-year-old played in two playoff games with Hamilton, including the 102 Grey Cup against Calgary.

No. 9 overall - Hamilton Tiger-Cats - Evan Gill (DL)

Gill opted to go back to school at the University of Manitoba and join the Bisons instead of the Tiger-Cats for the 2014 season. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Winnipeg native injured his knee in a game against the Calgary Dinos that ended his 2014 campaign early.
