Argos make triumphant home debut, keep Roughriders winless
The Argonauts are finally back home, and they celebrated their Toronto debut by beating the Saskatchewan Roughriders 30-26 on Saturday night.
Toronto trailed 23-16 heading into the fourth quarter, but then took over, outscoring Saskatchewan 14-3 in the final frame to secure the win. The Argos improve to 4-2 while the Roughriders' nightmare season continues, as they're winless in seven games.
Argos quarterback Trevor Harris led the fourth-quarter comeback, finishing with 316 yards and two touchdowns - both in the fourth quarter - on 23-of-29 passing. His counterpart Brett Smith was less efficient, completing 23-of-35 passes for 298 yards, throwing two touchdown passes and one interception.
Toronto's back on the road next week, in Winnipeg, while Saskatchewan's on a bye.
