Argos, Ticats battle for 1st place in East in Labour Day Classic
First place in the Eastern Conference is up for grabs when the Toronto Argonauts (6-3) and Hamilton Tiger-Cats (6-3) lock horns Monday in the Labour Day Classic at Tim Hortons Field.
Toronto got trounced in its most recent meeting on Aug. 3, giving up 229 yards through the air and three passing scores to quarterback Zach Collaros in a 34-18 drubbing.
That shouldn't come as a surprise, though, as the Argos' respectable record can't hide the fact that they're abysmal defending the pass, allowing a league-worst 290.4 yards per game in that department. Collaros - who leads the CFL in passing yards with 2,632 - could be in store for another big outing against that unit.
This rivalry has been fairly one-sided in favor of Hamilton, having won three of the last four Labour Day matchups with an overall record of 30-15-1, with the first game dating all the way back to 1948.
This one will get underway at 1 p.m. ET.
