Blue Bombers come back to beat Lions
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers went into Vancouver on Saturday and recorded a come-from-behind 29-26 victory over the BC Lions.
The Lions were up 23-9 at halftime but couldn't hold the lead. BC's now 5-9 with the loss, while Winnipeg sits at 5-10, having won two in a row.
Rookie Blue Bombers kicker Sergio Castillo had a night to remember, converting on all five of his field-goal attempts, including the winning kick from 40 yards out as time expired.
The Lions had 384 total yards to the Blue Bombers' 255, thanks to quarterback Jonathon Jennings' 372 yards in the air. He completed 24-of-31 passes, throwing three touchdown passes and two interceptions.
BC wide receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux had another monster night, hauling in eight passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns. His teammate Lavelle Hawkins also crossed the century mark, recording 101 receiving yards on five passes.
Winnipeg quarterback Matt Nichols completed 19-of-34 passes for 179 yards and one touchdown.
