Captain Pogba hobbles off with suspected hamstring issue
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was substituted 19 minutes into Tuesday's visit from FC Basel with an apparent hamstring injury.
Pogba stretched for a tackle, and then staggered around the pitch until surrendering to the ailment and calling for his substitution. He was replaced by Marouane Fellaini in the Champions League tilt.
The Frenchman suffered two similar issues in March and May, Simon Stone of BBC Sport reports, missing four club outings.
"I haven't spoken with the medical department. This is why we have a squad, we won't cry about injuries," Jose Mourinho told MARCA's Chris Winterburn post-match, before disclosing that Pogba will probably miss Sunday's Premier League hosting of Everton.
Pogba, 24, was given the captain's armband ahead of kick-off despite Chris Smalling, who has held the distinction in the past, also starting at Old Trafford. Ashley Young took over skipper duties when Pogba was withdrawn.
What Jose told me in July re @paulpogba as capt: "With his experience, status + quality has conditions to be such an important guy in club"

The Red Devils recorded a comfortable 3-0 win in Stretford, with goals from Fellaini, Romelu Lukaku, and Marcus Rashford.
United is competing with Basel, Benfica, and CSKA Moscow in Group A after earning a spot in this season's competition through its procurement of the Europa League title in 2016-17.
